This is NOT a costume!

Well, the long weekend is over, and it's back to work tomorrow. It will make participating in the remainder of the Sassy Studio Designs anniversary relay a bit more challenging, but it's amazing what a girl is capable of when free stamps are involved! This is my creation for step 3 of the relay. Today's freebie, if you participated in the first two steps already, is called Bewitched, and she certainly has me captivated! So much so that I actually already owned her. Halloween is my favorite holiday after all! She was colored with Prismacolor Art Markers and mounted on Stampin' Up Basic Black card stock that had been punched with a wrought iron corner design, also from Stampin' Up. The remaining card stock is Stampin' Up as well (Pumpkin Pie, Basic Gray and Ruby Red). The designer paper is called Ambrosia Orange Smoothie by Basic Grey. The snarky sentiment is from Twisted Two, a tongue in cheek set from MFT. I finished off with a few Recollections black gemstone brads. I am eagerly looking forward to receiving the next image in the relay! Please check out all the gorgeous work that is being done for the relay over on Sassy Studio Designs blog. And also make sure you check back for their June 1st new releases!! I've seen some sneak peeks, and they look fabulous! It is now time for bed.... I need some sleep or I will be the witch tomorrow! Haha!

Embrace Your Inner Princess

Princess Penelope is enchanting, is she not? She is the 2nd freebie in the Sassy Studio Designs anniversary relay. The catch was you had to complete step one (Sassy Cassie) in order to snag her. The pumpkin is from Cinderella's Accessories and is one of SSD's "Dollar Deals". I paired it with a flourish from the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Doodle Parts to create the look of vines. I also used my Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Four. The banner is from Whiff of Joy's Medieval Collection, and I "hung" it on some gold wire attached to a pink brad. The textured gold paper is DCWV and the Diamonds Foil from K&Company. All other paper is Stampin' Up (Blush Blossom, Sage Shadow and Whisper White). Her Highness was colored with Prismacolor Art Markers. This relay is a ton of fun, and though it's too late to join, you can still check out all the lovely creations here. There are two more images left in the relay before it is over, and I can't wait to see them! Well, I'm off to bed as my carriage turned back into a pumpkin hours ago!

Ooh La La!

Welcome to the official launch of my blog! The last thing this busy single mom with a full-time job should be doing is taking on another project, but the lure of free digital stamps from Sassy Studio Designs was too great! So with out further ado here is my card made with the first image in the anniversary relay: Sassy Cassie. She looked French to me so I went with it. The sentiment and poodle are from MFT's Meet Me at the Cafe and all paper is Stampin' Up (Baja Breeze, Basic Black, Ruby Red and Whisper White) with the exception of the designer paper which is called Metropolitan Fountain from American Crafts. The hardware is Tim Holtz. Thanks for looking, and I hope everyone is having fabulous fun on this Memorial Day weekend!
