So, about my creation...  This is Moving Day!  Isn't she sweet?  She's perfect for anyone who is going off to college in the Fall or is moving into a new house or apartment.  I colored her with Copics and fussy cut her.  I then used foam squares to pop her up on my card.  I really wanted to showcase this fabulous paper by DCWV so I left the face of the card pretty plain (well, for me anyway) and added most of my embellishments off to the side and at the top.  Dies include a couple from La-La-Land Crafts: Scallop Border, Scalloped Banner, and Lattice Doily Border.  The cityscape is from My Favorite Things.  I also used a Classic Long Rectangle Nestabilities (Spellbinders) and a Martha Stewart Border punch.  Flowers, pearls, and a sentiment from Stampin' Up set @SoSocial complete my project.

Now head off to Carisa's blog to see her drool-worthy creation!  You will not be disappointed!  Remember to leave comments as you go to be eligible for the awesome prize from Krista's shop!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

A Birthday Shout Out

Hello!  I'm loving being a guest designer for Saturated Canary!  I can't get enough of coloring up these cuties so I'm sharing yet another of my SC creations with you today.  My son's father celebrated a birthday this week and Kayne asked me to make his daddy a card.  I was happy to oblige my sweet boy!

I colored up Dad (2014 Boy) and cut him using Classic Circles Nestabilities (Spellbinders).  I thought on a masculine card I'd use a few less dies, but it didn't really work out that way!  Featured here are several La-La-Land Crafts dies, including two new ones!  I've used Open Heart Doily Border, Hot Air Balloon, Birthday Flag, Steampunk Border, and Flag Banner.  Also from Spellbinders was the Cogs Nestabilities that matted my image.  Papers are My Mind's Eye - Boy Crazy.  I added a few accents including buttons, screw brads, Tim Holtz Gears, and a Jolee's Boutique clock sticker from my stash.

This just shouts birthday fun to me!  Which reminds me...  Mine isn't that far off!

Thanks for stopping by and check back soon for more of my creations!  Have an amazing week!

90s Coffee

Hi there!  Have I told you how excited I am to be one of the Guest Designers for Saturated Canary for the next three months?!?!  I could shout it from the roof tops, that's how happy I am!  This is "check it off the bucket list" cool!  And seeing it on the Saturated Canary blog (pop over to check out my crafty friends and fellow GDT lovelies Lucy, Michelle, and Lina) is a dream come true!  You'll see us all on the DT inspiration blog HERE.

This is one of Krista's newest digis from her Fashion Decades release (shop HERE): 90s Fashion Decade.  All I could think of was the dawn of the coffeehouse, Starbucks, Seattle, and grunge!  lol  So here she is!

The image is colored with Copics and cut using the Resplendent Rectangles Nestabilities (Spellbinders).  I went die heavy again.  And how could I resist what with my new order of La-La-Land Craft dies arriving AS I was working on it!  (Thanks to Irina for the fabulous sale and to Mom & Dad for the early birthday present!)  One of the new ones I received is the Lamp Post.  I also used the Hot Air Balloon, Open Hearts Doily Border, and Lattice Border.  The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Inkadinkado and is cut using Labels Twenty-One Nestabilities (Spellbinders).  Also used were a coffee cup die from Impression Obsession, a zipper from Marianne Craftables, Picture Wheel by Tim Holtz (Sizzix), and a small heart from Whimsy Stamps.  I sprinkle a little Shabby White Fran-tage on the balloon and lamp post and stamped the image panel with a coffee ring stain stamp (also from Inkadinkado) in Antique Linen.  A couple of pins, a few flowers, some rhinestones, and a Tim Holtz Compass Coin and Game Spinner combo round out my creation.

Look for more Saturated Canary projects coming your way soon!  There is a fabulous sale going on now in Krista's shop through 11pm (EST) on Sunday.  Use HAPPYWEEKEND to get $4 off any order of $12 or more.  Plus everyone who orders with the discount will get a fab new fairy digi from Krista's upcoming release!  Go forth and shop!  I bought a few myself!

(And true to form I am a tad late with post going live, but I have a good excuse!  I was at the drive-in with Kayne watching Minions and Inside Out, creating those great childhood Summertime memories!)

Child of the 80s

Hello!  Everyone has seen Krista's coloring contest going on over at the Saturated Canary blog, right?!?!  If not, stop what you are doing and run, don't walk, to the SC shop and pick up one, two, or all three of Krista's new Fashion Decades sets!  They are value priced for the duration of the contest at only $4 each!  That's like getting one of the images in each set for free!  To play along all you have to do is link a project featuring a personally colored version of one of these lovelies and share on social media!  You have until July 21st to join in for the $20 gift vouchers that are up for grabs!

As a GDT member (*squeals with delight*), Krista very generously gifted these to us and of course I couldn't resist coloring up 80s Fashion Decade first!  Most anyone who knows me knows how much I love the 80s!  It contains so many fond memories for me...  I'm totally a child (and teenager) of the 80s!  Lol  Because of this, even still as an adult, I have a HUGE love for all things 80s!  I think my hair, well my bangs anyway, may have been just about as big!  My image is colored with Copics and cut using Long Rectangles Nestabilities (Spellbinders).  In my new favorite style, I heaped on loads of fun dies and embellies!  I was "totally stoked" to use two My Favorite Things Die-namic that were perfect for the 80s - Cassette Tape and Geek is Chic Glasses!  Also featured are Heart Doily, Open Hearts Doily Border, and Wings set (La-La-Land Crafts) and Virtuoso Music (Memory Box).  The coordinating stamp set from MFT for the cassette is called Playlist.  I added some black lace (à la Madonna) and a few flowers.  The sentiment sticker is from Me & My Big Ideas and the "80s" is done in black chipboard glitter stickers.  And what 80s creation would be complete without some bright neon colors?!

I'm hoping to have time to create with some of the other decades as well!  Ready to start your project?  Take your pick: 40s and 50s, 60s and 70s, & 80s and 90s!  Which one is YOUR favorite decade?

Thanks for popping in!  I appreciate the visit!  Hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far!

So Sweet!

Just popping in with some SUPER exciting news!  I have been selected as a guest design team member for Saturated Canary!!!  This is a dream come true!  The elite of the crafting world love and adore SC and the competition is formidable so I am elated to have been asked on board for this 3 month stint (July-September)!

In between doing my happy dance and pinching myself, I was able to create this card featuring Saturated Canary's Baker for my co-worker's birthday.  She is a total sweetheart who bakes for the office TWICE a week every week so she deserved something handmade with love herself!

Baker is colored with Copics and fussy cut.  I used foam squares to give her dimension on top of the Picot Circles Nestabilities (Spellbinders).  I am die happy lately and added a few La-La-Land Crafts one (Lattice Doily Border, Lattice Border, Heart Doily, Heart Banner, and Filigree Crown) as well as the "happy birthday" Die-namics sentiment (My Favorite Things).  For embellishments, I added a colorful array of flowers with a red and white striped paper straw plus a couple of buttons and a sticker whisk.  Papers are My Mind's Eye - Collectable: Notable.

I have been collecting Saturated Canary images for almost six years and this is a dream come true!  What a sweet gig!  I can't wait to get started!

The Corrosive Challenge #228 - Hot, Hot, Hot!

Hello!  I hope all my US followers had a safe and happy 4th of July!  We enjoyed a low key cookout at my brother's.  I then came home to work on my card for today's challenge while Kayne played Xbox.  I was then able to enjoy some fireworks out my window as I colored and put my project together.  And not just because this is the most skin I have ever colored...

The Corrosive Challenge welcomes back favorite sponsor KennyK for a "Hot, Hot, Hot!" theme!  We're bringing SEXY back and KennyK's got a smokin' collection of sexy images just perfect for this challenge!  But if smoldering sex appeal isn't your cup of tea, we offer you the alternative to use "hot" colors: red, orange, yellow - any combination, or all of them!

Elena and KennyK are offering a fabulous prize of our winner's choice:
2 clear stamp sets OR 4 digis!!!

Elena picked my image for me as I couldn't decide what I wanted to do.  She selected this Playboy image (from the Heartbreakers collection), who she said reminds her of Channing Tatum.  I am off to see the Magic Mike movie this weekend so I figured it was a fitting choice.  I was still at a bit of a loss as to what to DO with him after I colored him up with my Copics and fussy cut him.  I don't have a lot of truly masculine papers so I settled on this Diamond Plate paper.  I then cut up a pair of my son's old jeans for the pocket.  I stamped a My Favorite Things sentiment, and another from Stampin' Up, and put them together with the My Favorite Things Smart Phone Die-namics and a couple of ones from my wallet.  The button in the corner is also from Kayne's jeans.

Be sure to check out KennyK Clear Stamps , KennyK's Krafty Krew Challenge blog, and the KennyK Facebook page (plus don't forget to follow them on Twitter and Instagram @kennykstamps)!
