KennyK Catch Up

Hello!  Happy Memorial Day weekend!  How is everyone in blogland?  Yes, I'm still alive and kicking.  And crafting!  I'm just not blogging or sharing online like I used to.  There's only so much time in the day and well, something is bound to get put on the back burner.  Or in the freezer.  Anyway...  Now that I've spent the last hour trying to hack my way back into blogger because it's been so long since I've signed on that I had forgotten my user name and password, let me make it worth our while and share a few cards with you!  As you may recall, I'm on the KennyK Stamps design team so let's start there.

First up, a birthday card for one of Kayne's friends.  This one features Batter Up.  The image is colored with Copics, fussy cut, and popped up on foam squares.  The recipient is a Yankees fan so I used a real baseball card of Derek Jeter as well as a baseball themed sticker on the project.  A few La-La-Land Crafts dies were used as well (Diamond Wire, Stitched Bracket Border, and Flag Banner).

Next up is a card I made for a co-workers birthday.  Jasmine seemed like the perfect image to color up with my Copics for her.  I cut her out using Deckled Rectangles Nestabilities from Spellbinders, I added some stamped detail to the image panel and a bit of Shabby White Fran-tage.  I embellished with an embossed "metal" plate, a metal gear and photo corner (Tim Holtz), flowers, and a rhinestone flourish.  The gears at the top are the Steampunk Border from La-La-Land Crafts.

Another card for a coworker used Policeman.  He's also colored with Copics and fussy cut.  An embossed "brick" wall provided his backdrop.  As usual this creation features a few dies: Star Cluster (Sizzix Tim Holtz On the Edge), Diamond Wire (La-La-Land Crafts), Classic Rectangles Nestabilities (Spellbinders), and Jumbo Fishtail Banner Stax Die-namics (My Favorite Things).

Lastly, one final co-worker creation.  This time it's a birthday card featuring Basketball.  Once I again I colored with Copics and fussy cut.  The star border is a Martha Stewart punch and the dies I used are from La-La-Land Crafts (Diamond Wire and Birthday Flag) and My Favorite Things (Skyline Border Die-namics).  The clip is Tim Holtz.

There are more cards yet to be blogged, but that's all for this post.  It's hard to believe that tomorrow is my 6th blogiversary!  Where does the time go?!?!  I hope you're all enjoying your weekend!  One more day to go here in the US.  It's the unofficial kickoff to Summer and a day to remember all those who have given their lives in the service of our military.  "May we never forget our freedom isn't free..."
